Research Interests:
I apply multi-disciplinary approach to resolve a scientific question, and integrate some interrelated sub-areas of geology such as geochemistry, geophysics and geospatial data. My primary research interests are-
-
Application of paleomagnetism and rock magnetism to fold-thrust belt kinematics.
-
High-resolution timescale through magnetostratigraphy.
-
(Paleo-) Environmental magnetism and paleoclimatic reconstruction.
-
Soil magnetism and application of iron oxides as a proxy for pollutant tracing.
-
Magnetic fabric analysis in deformed rocks and in prehistoric earthquake zones.
-
Ultrafine age determination of ferromanganese crusts and paleoceanographic reconstruction
-
Sedimentary provenance analysis and heavy mineral chemistry.
